It's a relatively small waiting area. Waiting passengers like myself are scattered all around, mostly absorbed in their thoughts, books or just watching their iPads.
There is something about airport and waiting: everyone seems to be thankful for this moment for themselves, like a time to calm down. In this place of transit they decide to not think about the rest and they love being in control of what they do in the hours of waiting.
They read books that they know they may not be able to finish once at destination. They decide to relax and sleep before they are forced to move again. They try not to think about jobs and responsibilities that are waiting for them.
Just like anybody else in a boarding area, I'm thankful to have this moment. And I know as soon as they call for boarding and the plane will land to my destination, I would have to face everything again.
