The image, which is part of the story "The longest journey" released in December 2013 on National Geographic, was taken in Djibouti and depicts some African migrants raising their cell phones looking for a signal from neighboring Somalia, in order to talk with relatives abroad.
I really like this image, mainly because of its apparent simplicity, but also for the strength coming from the title, giving the image a great evocative power. One of the many cases in which image and words together give us a high-level work of art.
